Introduce myself

Dr. Hsin-Yi Hsieh (謝馨儀) received her B.S. (2004) in the Department of Engineering System, NCKU, Taiwan, M.S. (2006) in the Department of Engineering and System Science, NTHU, Taiwan, and PhD (2013) in the Institute of NanoEngineering and MicroSystems, NTHU, Taiwan.
Dr. Hsin-Yi Hsieh’s research interests are in the fields of biomedical engineering, Bio-MEMS, surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), and protein microarray. Her research work has been published in several SCI journals, such as the Journal of Material Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Journal of Physical Chemistry C, Lab on a Chip, Soft Matter, and Journal of Nanoparticle Research. Besides, Dr. Hsin-Yi Hsieh haa more than 20 international conference papers, including IEEE MEMS, MicroTAS, IEEE Sensors, IEEE NEMS, and ISMM conferences.
Furthermore, Dr. Hsin-Yi Hsieh has been honored with NSC Graduate Student Study Abroad Program Award (2012~2013), Science and Technology Research Scholarship, CTCI Foundation (2011), the Xingtian Temple Foundation talented student scholarship for long-term incubation (2010~2013), the Biotechnology Poster Competition of National Tsing Hua University, Best Poster Award, (2010), the Yang Jia Yu Memorial Scholarship from Taiwan Power Company (2009), the Principal Scholarship of National Tsing-Hua Univerisity (2008-2009), the 4th National Innovation Award in the Student Section by the Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry , the Second Prize (2006), the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society of the Republic of China (2006 and 2013), the 14th Dissertation Contest of National Cheng Kung University, the Second Prize (2004), and the CIE Student Affiliation, Engineering Essay Competition Award, Excellent Prize/the First Prize (2004).
During Dr. Hsin-Yi Hsieh’s PhD program, she spent 8 months in Dr. Ali Khademohosseini’s lab to learn hydrogel and tissue engineering, and she also stayed in Prof. Chih-Ming Ho’s lab for 2 weeks to learn feedback control system (FSC) for cocktail therapy.
Now, Dr. Hsin-Yi Hsieh is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Prof. Shih-Kang Fan’s lab, and she works for a collaborative project, “dynamic strain stimulation for the differentiation of neonatal cardiomyocyte”, with Dr. Ali Khademohosseini.
